Cosmos

By Carl Sagan

First published in 1980, Cosmos is a science book written by an astronomer. The thirteen chapters in the book each had a corresponding episode in the Cosmos: A Personal Voyage TV series that aired at the end of 1980. This book combined with the TV series was meant to easily explain complex scientific ideas to anyone.

Cosmos puts our universe into a perspective we can all understand. It also excites a sense of wonder for the unknown that is all around us. Science has never been so fun!

In 2014, a follow show with Neil DeGrasse Tyson was created called Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. In 2019, another season will be released titled Cosmos: Possible Worlds. This continuation of the original series has helped reignite public interest in the cosmos.
