Beck Depression Inventory:
Aaron T. Beck published the Beck Depression Inventory. The self-report is a 21 question multiple choice inventory. This is one of the most widely used tests for measuring the level of depression. There have been three versions of the inventory. The first BDI was published in 1961. This was later revised in 1978 to create the BDI-1A. The current version is the BDI-II which was published in 1996.
